We stayed at Casa Calita, Granadella Bay villa during the last week of September, 2016 and enjoyed every minute. We would describe it as a boutique holiday, very special. Our party was rather small for such a big house, only me and my wife and our grown up son. First of all, a few words about the house itself. It is very big, has four good size bedrooms on three different levels, one on a ground flour with direct exit to the pool and patio area, another two bedrooms on level 1, and absolutely fantastic very spacious en-suite bedroom on the top flour of the house overlooking the sea from one side and the mountains from another. We’ve got an impression that this house was not only recently renovated but also re-designed and decorated to a high standard, you would feel a very good taste all-over. The lounge, dining area and the kitchen are open space type, which offers guests the possibility to communicate with each other even if one is cooking and others are relaxing. Kitchen area has a patio doors that leads to a good size veranda for al-fresco dining. The house is equipped with all necessary appliances especially the kitchen appliances are all of a very good quality which is not common for a holiday home for rent.

We visited this area a several years ago and fell in love with it. The cost line has spectacular, very beautiful bays with clean water and if you are as addicted to swimming as we are this is the place for you. There are a few dozen villas around Casa Calita but it is very quite. A few minutes driving down the hill (by a good quality road) there is one of the best beaches in the area – La Granadella beach with clear turquoise water. Parking area there is big and free. A couple of restaurants and bars are on the beach offering everything from full lunch/dinner to just drinks/coffee during all day.

I would say that the area is a diamond of Valencia and probably of a whole Spain.

There are a few more not crowded beaches around with a crystal turquoise water but a more wild type.

Xabia is a nearby lovely town with a lot of restaurants/bars/shopping/etc. It has a nice sand beach there and a good promenade from city centre to the port with a lot of seafront looking restaurants. The town is easy to reach just by 10 minutes driving.

Nicola, the owner, is a very nice person and Louise, who looks after the house, was very helpful.

Car is essential to stay in this villa.

All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Calita, Granadella Bay villa and would happily recommend it to anyone.

We heartily endorse Igor’s testimony re Granadella - it was spot on! Sept 9- 14 2016 Phil Brew

"The villa is ideally located and decorated to a high standard and only a few km's outside of Javea, with sea views from the front and mountains at the rear. We stayed for 10 nights with 3 teenagers, the villa gave everyone the space to relax and have fun. Nicola was very helpful with lots of suggestions regarding local beaches and restaurants. We visit this part of Spain regularly and will definitely be rebooking. The large room at the top of the house with its own terrace is stunning." Sarah - Leamington Spa, United Kingdom June 2017
